Iranian thespians Mehran Ahmadi and Sara Bahrami are to star in series 'Made in Iran 2'.
Directed by Borzou Niknejad, the second season of the series is currently being captured in Tehran.
Amin Hayaee and Sahar Dolatshahi are also present at the series.
‘Made in Iran’ followed the story of an Iranian scientist who came up with an invention likely to change the world – a white powder that purifies any type of water and converts it into clean fuel.
However, a two-bit thief named Gholam steals his briefcase containing the white powder and a laptop with the formula for it. On the run from the cops, he leaves Iran with a forged passport as the scientist. He goes to France and meets up with his childhood buddy, and the two of them scheme to sell the invention and make a fortune.
Born in 1973, Ahmadi's performance in movies like ‘Nothing’ (2009), ‘Persisting Dreams’ (2009), ‘Thirteen 59 (1980)’ (2010) and ‘Alzheimer’ (2010) were positively received by critics and audiences.
Some of the other movies in which he has appeared include ‘Twenty’ (2008), ‘Absolutely Tame is a Horse’ (2010), ‘Without Reason or Cause’(2011), ‘Hatred’ (2011), ‘Bright Day’ (2012), ‘Track 143’ (2013), ‘Raspberries’ (2013) and 'Breath' (2016).
Ahamdi has also played roles in the series ‘Alone in the Dark’ (1999), ‘Foggy Days’ (2000) , ‘Until Being with Sorayya’ (2011), ‘The Capital 2 and 3’ (2012 and 2014), ‘Remembrance’ (2013) and ‘The Sound of Rain’ (2013).
Born in the central Iranian city of Isfahan, Sara Bahrami has studied Theater at university.
She has acted in series such as ‘Euphrates’, ‘Like a Nightmare’, ‘Parvaneh’, and ‘The Recluse’.
Bahrami has also appeared in a number of movies, including ‘Gita’, ‘Teheran’, ‘A Simple Romance’, ‘Italy Italy’, ‘A House on 41st Street’ and ‘I am Diego Maradona’.
